Rental regulations

Bike&CO bike rental regulations

  1. These regulations cover the rules of use, conditions, scope of rights and liabilities of persons using the Bike&CO electric bicycle rental. 
  2. Renting a bicycle and signing the Rental Agreement confirms that the Renter has read and accepted these regulations. 
  3. The rented bikes are the property of Be Alive Zuzanna Załoga, owner of the Bike&CO brand.
  4. The rented bikes are in good technical condition and should be returned to the rental company in the same condition. 
  5. To rent equipment, the Renter must be of legal age and sober, sign a bicycle rental agreement and a declaration that he or she has read these regulations, accepts their content and accepts a technically sound bicycle.
  6. The Rental Company is not liable for any hidden defects in parts, materials and accessories. 
  7. The Client is responsible for any damage resulting from improper use of the rented equipment, and he or she also covers all costs related to the repair of the equipment according to the invoice issued by the service workshop.
  8. The Renter is responsible for properly securing the bicycle and its accessories against theft and any damage using a lock provided by the Renter. When using the bicycle, the Renter must remain sober and not be under the influence of any other intoxicating substances. 
  9. In the event of loss of the rented bicycle or its accessories due to theft or loss, the Renter is obliged to reimburse the costs corresponding to the value of the bicycle or its accessories, according to the invoices presented by the Rental Company. 
  10. The bicycle and its accessories must be returned in a non-deteriorated condition within the time specified in the contract.
  11. The fee for renting a bicycle is collected in advance for the declared period of use, which cannot be longer than the opening hours of the rental shop. 
  12. In the event of unplanned events and an extension of the bicycle return deadline, please inform the rental company at the following number: ……………………………, and the cost of extending the rental for each commenced hour is PLN 50.  
  13. The person renting the bicycle undertakes to:
    • present 1 ID document with a photo (ID card, passport) and 1 other document with your name, from which the rental employee will write down the data for the rental agreement, 
    • sign the bicycle rental agreement legibly,
    • be an adult and sober, a minor may rent a bike only with the consent of an adult authorized to take care of the minor, who takes full responsibility for the rented bike and the person using it,
    • Make payment for the bike rental according to the current price list. We round the time to 0.5 hours for the benefit of the Renter. 
    • use the bicycle and its equipment as intended,
    • return the bicycle with its accessories, in a technically functional and undamaged condition, within the declared return time, use the bicycles only for non-commercial purposes and only for the personal use of the Renter,
    • comply with the ban on lending the bicycle to third parties, 
    • do not use bicycles for jumping, stunts, racing, etc. 
    • immediately report any problems related to the use of the bicycle to the rental employee and return the bicycle to the rental office if any defect is detected while riding the bicycle, 
    •  refrain from making any repairs, modifications or replacement of parts on the rented bike yourself,
    • cover the costs of repairing a damaged bicycle or its accessories resulting from the fault of the renter, 
    • cover the costs of purchasing a new bicycle in the event of complete destruction of the rented bicycle. 
  14. In the event of loss of the rented bicycle or its equipment or accessories as a result of theft or loss, the Renter is obliged to reimburse the costs corresponding to the value of the equipment, its equipment or accessories, in accordance with the applicable price list included in the rental agreement. 
  15. The rental employee is not liable for any accidents or damages, both to the Renter and to third parties, occurring during the use of the bicycle by the Renter, provided that the accidents or damages are not the result of defects inherent in the rented bicycle. 
  16. The Renter who has destroyed or lost the bicycle is legally and materially liable. 
  17. The Renter agrees to cover all damages and penalties related to the use of the bicycle resulting from non-compliance with the legal provisions in force in Poland, including those resulting from the Road Traffic Code. 
  18. The Renter bears full responsibility for any accidents or damages incurred while using the rented bicycle. Renter, as a road user, is obligated to obey road traffic regulations and does so solely at their own risk. The Renter waives all claims against Be Alive Zuzanna Załoga for accidents, damages, or injuries incurred while using the rented bicycles. 
  19. The Renter is solely responsible for any damage caused to third parties related to the use of the rented bicycles. 
  20. All disputes will be resolved amicably in the first instance. In the event of failure to reach an agreement, the dispute will be resolved by the court with jurisdiction over the Bike&CO Bicycle Rental.
